The neck seems perfect and the tone and volume are so even across the strings. It has great dynamics, which is perfect for the way I play. An amazing guitar!

PHIL ROBSON - JAZZ GUITARIST AND COMPOSER

J3 SEMI-HOLLOW

For this thinline guitar we employ a traditional semi-hollow construction of a laminated body with a mahogany centre block and hand carved spruce fillets between the two. The semi-hollow body creates a resonant, responsive tone, while the centre block maximises sustain and keeps feedback to a minimum. The top, back and sides are made from exquisite, figured maple veneers and finished in a stunning sunburst. The neck is beautifully hand carved from one piece of quarter sawn mahogany, creating a very stable neck with a great feel. There is a choice of fingerboard, either rosewood for it's warm tone, or ebony for it's slightly brighter response and durability.

All hardware is high quality and includes a vintage-style Gotoh tuneomatic bridge with a lightweight Gotoh stop bar as standard with the option of a Bigsby tremolo. Sperzel or Grover deluxe tuners can be specified both guaranteeing fine tuning and smooth operation. High quality CTS pots and a Switchcraft pickup selector switch are used with a 50’s wiring scheme to minimise treble loss when rolling back the volume.

Hand wound Bare Knuckle unpotted humbuckers are fitted as standard with 'Mule' humbuckers chosen for their outstanding clarity, extended dynamic range and unmistakable vintage character.
