I am more than blown away. Compared to the few early 60s strats I’ve played, this has all the tone and look with a nicer feel and a lovely glassiness. Honestly a beautiful guitar!

JST’62 VS

Our JST’62 Vintage Series, is authentically aged from the hardware and plastics to the nitro finish. Choose the degree of ageing - ‘Pristine’, ‘Relic’ or ‘Heavy Relic’. Traditional tonewoods are used to capture the sound - solid alder body, quartersawn maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. The neck has a comfy soft V profile with a slab fingerboard inlayed with vintage clay dots. The 3 ply mint green pickguard looks great with the vintage ivory pickup covers and knobs. A 3 tone sunburst is applied to the body, first a transparent vintage yellow followed by a dark brown burst (appears black on the edges) then a red burst. Thin coats of clear nitro cellulose lacquer are applied and after a minimum of two weeks drying time the guitar is cut back to 800grit then 1200grit and finally polished.

All hardware is high quality, and as standard, includes a Gotoh vintage tremolo with a steel sustain block. The Gotoh vintage tuners allow fine tuning and smooth operation. The guitar is fitted with a high quality 250k CTS pots giving nice even tapers and a Sprague Orange Drop capacitor.

Bare Knuckle ‘Mother’s Milk’ single coils come as standard and are bright and punchy mid '60s voiced Strat coil set; solid bass response, a dynamic, woody character and with a fantastic snap in the high-end. Other brands of pickups can be fitted if preferred.
