We are honoured to have built two guitars for Stefan Olsdal of Placebo. Stefan wanted an oversized single-cut with a Florentine cutaway and a pickguard to mount the controls. It was important to Stefan that the pickguard should follow the shape of the carved top. After many attempts, we finally devised a way of forming a 3D pickguard. Another custom requirement was to have a slanted, Nighthawk style bridge pickup, which Bare Knuckle made for us to their amazing Polypaf spec. Placebo are currently on their 30th Anniversary Tour of Europe and the UK
Took off from Biggin Hill, flew over London and landed at Manston. Highly recommend the Manston Spitfire Experience flight simulator.

We visited our friend and luthier, Andy Crockett. Andy built an archtop for the great Jim Mullen—an instrument I had designed with him. During the visit, he tried out our JS Standard, which was inspired by a 1961 SG Standard he had owned as a teenager—an instrument that had left a lasting impression on me. Andy put the JS Standard through his Supro combo and loved it. #caseguitars #bareknucklepickups #maestrotremolo #luthier #guitarist
